About Me
I’m Alice, an ex-secondary school teacher turned Life and Career Coach.
When the demands of the job clashed horribly with my personal values, I noticed I had the same repetitive daydreams… slow mornings with eggs on toast and a cup of tea; working on a valued project at my own steady pace; cooking a lovely lunch and going for a walk with my dog; leisurely gym trips or runs that weren’t squeezed in after parents evening or first thing before school.
And that was just the start - I missed my (multifarious) hobbies, quality time with my friends and family and the brainspace to be creative! Coupled with a doctor’s note for chronic burnout and a resounding ADHD diagnosis, it felt like my gut was screaming at me to change pace.
So I listened! As I’d already done a couple of times before (when grief for my career and identity knocked me to the floor), I swiftly took action to change paths and move towards a more aligned future.
Now a part-time Careers Adviser for a top Brighton Sixth Form and starting my intentional, soul-led business from scratch, it turns out I’m quite good at getting going on building a life and career I love.
I’m here to help you do the same.
What is coaching?
My role as a life coach is as follows:
Reassure you: you have the solution within you, and you’re capable of changing your life for the better.
Challenge you: I will ask you insightful questions that disrupt old stories that hold you back, and tease out your true goals, dreams and values.
Facilitate you: we will devise a framework to get you from where you are to where you’re going in the most joyful and aligned way for you.
Hold you to account: you will timestamp your goals and actions, and we will discuss the outcome of these actions in sessions.
As a former English teacher, I can’t resist a metaphor: this one particularly rings true…
Big transitions and life changes can feel like you’re sailing on a stormy sea in a worryingly ill-equipped boat. We often let waves of limiting beliefs and a fear of failure knock us off course; our intended destination is no longer visible on the horizon.
So think of me as your personal lighthouse. I’ll help you navigate the challenging conditions and illuminate the way forward to the harbour of your dreams.

Neuroaffirming practices meet all clients where they’re at; they appreciate and celebrate the variety of ways one’s brain works. In my coaching session, I feel it’s imperative to celebrate neurodiversity, as I am facilitating you to problem-solve, evaluate, reflect… all of which you and I might do very differently!
A Holistic Approach to Careers
Holistic practice centres on a 360° view of your life. Not popping it into separate boxes, and shoving the one labelled ‘self-care’ into the spare room.
When I started teaching, they told me to ‘pick two’ out of work, sleep, and a social life. Well, guess which one had to go?! It wasn’t much of a choice.
But I am an intensely social being, and a huge part of mine and my partner’s lives were weekends away, going to gigs and meeting friends at the pub.
I realised it shouldn’t be an ‘either/or’ situation, and the answer to a thriving career shouldn’t be putting everything else on hold.
A career can only thrive as much as you can thrive within the conditions the job creates. Or rather, the conditions you actively and intentionally choose.
In our sessions, we’ll look at your values, and by extension, your priorities. Not just how to climb the corporate ladder, or make a lateral jump for more money.
You define your markers of success, and that will be our direction of travel.
